Kelly Ripa was performing in her senior high school's production of The Ugly Duckling when her manager, Cathy Parker approached her and advised her to try acting. After graduation from Camden County Community College in New Jersey she performed in theater productions in the area before becoming a part of All My Children (1970) in November of 1990. Kelly has been nominated for an award in 1993 for a Daytime Emmy Award and a 1993 Soap Opera Award. Kelly is the first in her family to pursue the field of acting.
