Julie Pace is the Executive Editor and Senior Vice President at The Associated Press. Her previous roles included Washington Bureau Chief, Assistant Editor in Chief as well as White House Correspondent for Associated Press. Her precise analysis and sharp reporting have contributed to AP news coverage. Pace was awarded the White House Correspondents Association Merriman Smith award in 2013 for her work explaining the Obama campaign's complex approach to voter participation. In 2007, Pace was hired by AP as a multimedia reporter. She came up with and carried out plans for AP's live video reporting on the 2008 presidential election. After that, she spent two years covering politics and elections for the Tampa Tribune and WFLA. She graduated from Northwestern University
