Meaghan Reed Oppenheimer is an American screenwriter, playwright, actress producer, showrunner, and actress. She is the creator of the Facebook Watch dark comedy series "Queen America". Oppenheimer is from Oklahoma and has been writing since she was a child. Oppenheimer was involved in regional theatre and was a part of several regional TV shows. After graduating from Holland Hall, she enrolled at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and graduated with her degree in 2009. Oppenheimer made the move to Los Angeles in order to start her career as screenwriter. Her first screenwriting work was the script for "Hot Mess" which was a short film. She also co-wrote the screenplay for the movie "We Are Your Friends" along with Max Joseph from a story by Richard Silverman. In 2015, she was employed as a scriptwriter on an episode of Fear the Walking Dead'. In 2016, she created an episodic mystery drama starring Penelope Ann Miller for ABC. She has appeared on TV shows such as 'Even Stevens as well as'stalkTALK'.
