Chancelor Johnathan Bennett is an American hip-hop artist who is best known for his rap songs. Bennett was born in Chicago, Illinois. He has always had a passion to sing since childhood. He always wanted to be a musician, even though his father wanted him to have an entry-level white collar job. Bennett formed his own hip-hop group called 'Instrumentality' with a friend. A jazz and soul lover, it was Kanye West's debut album 'The College Dropout' that sparked Bennett's fascination with hip-hop. Bennett was determined to make music a profession, despite his academic pursuits. Though he released several singles and mixtapes, it was his second mixtape "Acid Rap' that made his name. Bennett's professional profile grew when the release of his third mixtape, 'Coloring Book'' which earned him three nominations for the "Grammys". It was the first album that was exclusively streaming to win a 'Grammy nomination. Bennett has also worked with other musicians, besides his solo ventures.
