Chance the Rapper

 Chancelor Johnathan Bennet, more popularly called Chance the Rapper is an American hip hop artist who gained notoriety due to his rap songs. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Bennett had a passion for singing since a young age. Even though his father was keen for to have him work within the white collar industry Bennett was determined to become a musician. Bennett started his own hip-hop group named "Instrumentality" along with a friend. A jazz and soul lover, it was Kanye West's debut album , 'The College Dropout' which sparked Bennett's fascination with hip-hop. Bennett was determined to make music an occupation despite his academic goals. Although he released a few singles and mixtapes, it was his second mixtape , 'Acid Rap' that truly made his name. Bennett's professional profile soared when he released his third mixtape, 'Coloring Book', which garnered him three 'Grammy' nominations. It was the first album that was exclusively streaming to win a 'Grammy nomination. Bennett has also collaborated with other musicians in addition to his solo ventures. In order to create the cult album Bennett teamed up with The Social Experiment's lead singer to produce 'Surf.
