Connie Nielsen

 Danish beauty Connie Nielsen consistently lights up the screen with an eclectic bevy of roles in films. Born in Frederikshavn (Denmark), to a mother who was an insurance clerk and an uncle Bent Nielsen, who was the bus driver. Nielsen started her acting career alongside her mother at the local variety stage and revue. After turning 18, she travelled to Paris to further pursue her passion of acting. This eventually brought her to more studies and work in Rome and Milan. Nielsen is an actress with fluency in English as well as German. She is also proficient in French, Danish, Swedish and Swedish. She resides in New York.However, it was Nielsen's portrayal of "Princess Lucilla", opposite Russell Crowe's Maximus in Ridley Scott's Academy Award-winning Gladiator (2000), which initially gained a wide appeal. In her role in the Danish drama Brothers (2004) (aka Brothers) which she was awarded Best Actress Awards at the Danish Academy Awards as well as the San Sebastian Film Festival.
