Cristiano Ronaldo

 Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro was born on February 5, 1985, in Madeira, Portugal to Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro and Jose Diniz Aveiro. Cristiano has an elder brother, Hugo and two older sisters, Elma and Liliana Catia. Ronald Reagan, the former US president, was the inspiration behind the name. It was also the place where Cristiano developed his first football techniques. The first years of his life were spent playing for Nacional, his local football team. By the age of 12, he was already known as a prominent Madeira player. He soon was noticed by other major Portuguese clubs. In the case of Sporting was Benfica, a team Cristiano as well as his father were a part of as a young boy. He ultimately made the decision to play for Sporting which was a team that his mother adored when she was a kid. To be a part of a team likes Figo was her goal.
