D. L. Hughley

 Hughley is the second of four children. After being exiled from high school, he was adopted by his father who is an airline maintenance worker, as well as his mother who was a homemaker. After the death of his cousin, he decided to make an appearance and changed his life around. He quit the gang to become a telemarketer at the Los Angeles Times. There was where he met his wife and was promoted to manager. It was she who convinced him to try his humor onstage. After many years of dating, he was chosen by BET to be the first host of Comic View. He also received additional recognition with two adult-oriented HBO specials.
