Danica Patrick

 Danica Patrick is a retired professional race car driver. To pursue a career in racing car driving she quit high school. In 2002, Rahal Letterman Racing signed her. In 2005, Patrick became the first woman to be the leader in the Indianapolis 500. She was first woman to win the IndyCar circuit three years later. In the switch to stock cars Patrick was the winner of the time trials of the 2013 Daytona 500, becoming the first woman to win the pole position in the world-renowned NASCAR event. After her retirement in 2018, Patrick started hosting the Pretty Intense weekly radio show. She was born Danica Sue Patrick in Beloit (Wisconsin) and began racing go-karts around the age of 10. She dropped out of highschool to pursue her racing career in England. It was there that she finished second at the Formula Ford Festival, the highest-ever finish by either an American woman or a female American in the event.
