"I believe that every person is entitled to three rounds throughout their life," says musician, composer, songwriter and arranger as well as producer and record producer David Foster. "For me, rounds 2 and 3 are completed. It's important to maintain a fresh mindset every time you play. I've tried this twice. My mantra is to stop and move in a different direction. "Now I'm going to go back to it." Foster's first round was as an arranger, studio musician, and recording artist. His second round was becoming one of the most popular record producers and songwriters ever -- directing albums that have collectively sold in the thousands of millions. The time span of his long career saw him establishing the David Foster Foundation and volunteering his time and talents to more than 400 charitable causes, as well as being a well-known name as an actor throughout Asia where he tours annually.For his third round, Foster is gearing up to go on Broadway with a number of projects. This includes writing the music for a new musical about the beloved, animated Betty Boop character. Betty Boop, which will be directed by Tony Award-winning Jerry Mitchell.
