Raashaun Casey is a Queens native and "DJ Envy" prides himself in bringing style, innovative and luxurious beats. He started his journey to becoming an Mixtape Legend and President/CEO at Blok Entertainment when he was 17. He has been an integral part of all aspects of the industry since. DJ Envy began premiering exclusive freestyles of hip-hop artists such as Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and L.O.X. He hosted several shows on Hot 97.1 including the popular Takin' it to the Streets and The People's Choice Hit List. DJ Envy was signed quickly by Sony and Desert Storm Records, his affiliate label. In the beginning of 2003, DJ Envy released his commercial debut album, The Desert storm Mixtape The Desert Storm Mixtape: Blok Party Vol. 1. Since then, he has collaborated with legendary Hip-Hop/R&B artists like Jay-Z, Fabolous, Janet Jackson, Nelly, Cam'ron and DMX.The young DJ has been recognized for his hard work. He has won three "Justo Mixtape Awards" and also won the Underground Music Awards award for "Most influential DJ".
