Emmy Rossum is an American actress, singer-songwriter, and television director. Her most famous work is playing the character of 'Fiona Gallagher' in the comedy drama "Shameless. A skilled actor, and equally skilled singer, Rossum took to singing in her early years. She soon realized her true calling and started pursuing a career in acting. She has appeared in numerous films throughout the time which include Songcatcher', An American Rhapsody' and 'Passionada' as well as 'Mystic River' and "Passionada". Her most well-known parts have been in films like 'The Phantom of the Opera The Day After Tomorrow,' Tomorrow' and 'Poseidon.' In addition to her film work she also has established herself as a singer. Her debut album "Inside Out in which she was well received by the reviewers. Rossum said that her talents in music were the result of her mother who was a listener to classical music and operas during her pregnancy.
