George Foreman

 George Foreman, in full George Edward Foreman, (born January 10, 1949, Marshall, Texas, U.S.), American boxer who twice was world champion in heavyweight (1973-74 and 1994-95). When Foreman was able to regain the title of heavyweight at age 45, he became the oldest world heavyweight champion.Foreman was raised in Houston, Texas, and was taught to box at an U.S. Job Corps camp in Oregon. He won the gold medal for heavyweight boxing at the 1968 Olympic Games, Mexico City. On January 22 1973, Foreman, who was 6'3" (1.9 meters) tall, beat Joe Frazier in Kingston, Jamaica. He won the title of professional heavyweight. After winning all forty professional fights, which included 24 knockouts in succession Foreman fell short of the title to Muhammad Ali in eight rounds at the "Rumble In the Jungle" in Kinshasa (Zaire) on October 30, 1974. In 1977, he retired from the ring and was a ambassador for Christ.
