Gordon Ramsay, a British chef from the UK, operates sixteen Michelin star restaurants. Although at the age of 16, Gordon had aspirations of becoming a professional footballer however, a serious injury ended his hopes of establishing a promising career in football. He then went back to school to finish a course in hotel management and worked with some of the world's leading chefs, including Albert Roux and Marco Pierre White in London, and Guy Savoy and Joel Robuchon in France. He became the chef-in-chief of 'Aubergine,' which was named two Michelin stars in just three years. He created his own restaurant 'Restaurant Gordon Ramsay,' which soon received the most prestigious accolade in the culinary world which is three Michelin stars. 'Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is London's longest-running restaurant with three Michelin stars and Ramsay is among only four chefs in the UK to maintain three stars. Ramsay has overseen the opening of several restaurants that have proved to be extremely popular across the globe. He is a TV star in the UK and around the world appearing on numerous reality and cooking shows. As a reality television personality, Ramsay is known for his short temper and strict attitude. Ramsay has also written several books, many of which have become bestsellers around the globe. By 2004 Ramsay was among the best-known and most influential chefs from the UK.
