Jon Cryer is an American actor and director. He is most well recognized for his part in the TV show 'Two And Two and a Half Men' and the movie 'Pretty in Pink'. His parents worked in the entertainment business and it was only natural that Jon Cryer would decide to pursue a career as an actor. His first performance credit came in the Broadway play 'Torch Song Trilogy'. After that, there were a handful of minor roles in movies and TV serials before his breakout role in the romantic comedy movie called 'Pretty Pink.' He wrote and produced the film called 'Went to Coney Island on a Mission from God... Then, be back by five, which premiered in the Los Angeles Film Festival. It took him a few years to establish as an actor, since his initial movies and television serials did not have a huge success. He received two Emmy Awards for his performance in "Two and Two and a Half Men" and the situation began to improve.
