Julie Benz, an American actress, is famous for her roles as Darla in the "Angel" (TV series) and 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' (TV series). Rita on Dexter' is another outstanding part. Before that, Benz was a professional in figure skating which she decided to quit and switched to acting. She started out with theatre in the local area and then moved on to film where she played minor roles. In the show "Hi Honey! I'm Home", she got her first taste of television. She went on to appear in many TV shows before landing an appearance in 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'. In the year 1996, Benz had auditioned for the lead part in the show 'Buffy the Vampire slayer' but ended up taking an unimportant role. Her acting abilities were evident and her part was expanded to numerous episodes. It was the beginning of her professional career, which has helped her gain attention. She also appeared on famous shows like "CSI: Miami" and 'Law & Order. She was the winner in 2006 of the award-winning show "Dexter', playing the role Rita Bennett. Benz has been praised by the critics and has received numerous awards for her exceptional acting.
