Katherine Elizabeth Upton was born in St. Joseph, Michigan she was the daughter of Shelley Fawn (Davis), the State tennis champion from Texas and Jefferson Matthew Upton, a high school athletics director. Fred Upton, a Michigan congressman, is her grandfather. Upton knew her dream to become a model from a young age. Since signing with IMG Models in 2010, Kate has been taking the world by storm. Kate has been on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue over the last two years. This has sparked an abundance of attention from the media about the 21-year old. Kate Upton's fame was further elevated thanks to Mario Testino's June 2013 American Vogue cover. His caption reads "American Dream Girl The Story of How Kate Upton Became a Hottest Supermodel on Earth". She has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Ellen Show, The Late Show, Saturday Night Live, The Dan Patrick Show and Le Grand Journal, and continues to be one of the most searched for models on Google.
