Kyra Sedgwick

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick was born August 19th, 1965 in New York City, to Patricia (Rosenwald), a family and speech therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, the venture capitalist. Her mother was from a middle-class German Jewish family, and her father came from a wealthy Massachusetts family of English heritage, with a number of prominent family members (including the judge Theodore Sedgwick and educator Endicott Peabody).Sedgwick attended private schools. When she was 16 years old she began her professional acting career on the soap opera Another World (1964). As a graduate of USC, Kyra has pursued a career that includes stage, screen and television. Kyra is an actor since it helps her be a compassionate person and assist others. Her first taste of fame was in Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as "Donna" as the high school lover of Tom Cruise. Miss Rose White (1992) and Something to Talk About (1995) were her two roles which earned her nominations for the Golden Globe Awards. She was married to her husband Kevin Bacon, when they were the leads in the TV film Lemon Sky (1988). They have two children
