Magic Johnson

 Earvin "Magic" Johnson Jr. is an ex- American professional basketball player, was born August 14, 1959. Johnson is widely considered to be the best point guard of all time has played for 13 years in the National Basketball Association (NBA). After winning championships at high school and college, Johnson was selected first overall in the 1979 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers, leading the team to five NBA championships during their Showtime time period. Johnson suddenly resigned in the year 1991 after revealing that he had contracted HIV. However, Johnson returned to the 1992 All-Star Game and won the All-Star MVP Award. Following a protest by his teammates, Johnson resigned again in 1991. However, he returned to the Lakers in 1996, aged 36, and won the All-Star MVP Award. He was the league's leader in assists during the regular season four more times and is the league's all time leader in average assists per match during both playoffs and regular season (11.19 assists/game) [6][7] Johnson is also the record holder for most career assists during the playoffs. 8. Johnson was a part of the 1992 United States men's Olympic basketball team ("The Dream Team"), which won the Olympic gold medal in Barcelona. Johnson quit the NBA in 1991 and joined the Magic Johnson All-Stars.
