Marin had her parents' approval while she was working in the Peace Corps. Born in Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), she relocated with her family to Boston, Massachusetts when she was just four months old. The twins of Mark was born two years later. Her father, Rodney, is a retired teacher in the school system. Margaret, her mother, is a judge in the Massachusetts Superior Court. Marian was a keen dancer and she studied until she was 16 after an injury to her ankle ended her dream. Though she was concerned about her choice to pursue acting, her parents urged her to follow her passion, but they advised her to earn an advanced degree so that she could at least be able to return to teaching if the situation didn't go as planned. She completed her studies at Brown University and then enrolled at New York University, where she claims to be pretty awful in her acting classes. Randall was director of the New York theatre director, was her husband. After their success and her husband's move to a Hollywood house that they rented after a nine-month separation.Marin was first successful as a performer in New York theater ("Electra" & "The Tempest") Then she was offered some minor movie roles and guest roles on a variety of television shows , including her co-starring part on Once and Again (1999). After a successful sitcom Two and a Half Men (2003) and she was cast in the role of Judith Harper and made several guest appearances in Law & Order Special Victims Unit (1999).
