Mariska (Ma-rish-ka) Magdolna Hargitay was born on the 23rd of January 1964 in Santa Monica, California. Her parents are Jayne Mansfield and Mickey Hargitay. She is the youngest of the three kids they have. In June 1967, Mariska and her brothers Zoltan and Mickey Jr. were in the back of a vehicle that was involved in a fatal accident which caused the death of her mother. The kids escaped with only minor injuries. Her father was remarried to an stewardess, named Ellen and they had the three children and provided them a normal, normal childhood. The children were also financially assisted by them because Jayne Mansfield left no money after the devastation of his estate. Mariska studied theater at UCLA. Ghoulies (1985) which was a cult film it was her first film. Her performance was memorable. performance as Donna. Unlike her mother Jayne, who had changed her name, hair color, and appeared in nude pictures to be a famous actress, Mariska took a very different path to become a star. Mariska was not willing to alter her appearance or name. And she was not willing to replicate her mother's attractive look by turning down nude scenes in her upcoming film Jocks (1986). The casting directors told her that she was herself by holding onto her dark hair and athletic figure even though they expected another blond, buxom Jayne Mansfield. Mariska continued to take acting classes, and waited to be served tables.
