Milena Markovna Mila Kunis was born in Ukraine to an ethnically Jewish family. The family she grew up with speaks Russian and not Ukrainian. Elvira is a Physics teacher. Mark Kunis is her father. Michael is her older brother. Her family relocated to Los Angeles, California, in 1991. She realized that she wanted to become an actor once she completed one semester at college. When Mila was just nine years old her father heard about an acting class and decided to take Mila. She met her agent there. Her first role came in the role of an actress named Melinda in Make a Wish, Molly (1995). Her career began that point and she soon became appearing in major-budget films.
