Moran Atias

Moran Atias, a former model and actress who hails from Israel, is perhaps best known for her roles in the TV show Tyrant and "The The Next Three Days." The actress gained fame through the Italian films Gas, Oggi sposi, as well as Mother of Tears. Her most well-known work is her role with Paul Haggis in the 2008 television series Crash and the 2013 film Third Person. Atias was also a part of Tyrant, an FX television series. Atias was born to Israeli-Jewish parents in Haifa in northern Israel. At age 15 she was a guest in Out of Focus, a youth television program. But her intentions to join the Israeli Defense Forces at the age of 17 were thwarted by a diagnosis of Meningitis. She began modeling, however, in Germany and then Italy and Italy, which is where she was discovered, and was subsequently signed as a model by Roberto Cavalli. Atias' younger sister is actress Shani Atias. Atias was 15 when she made her debut on television, starring in Out of Focus, an Israeli youth-oriented program. She moved to Germany at age 17 to start her modeling career. She was a model for Roberto Cavalli and D&G jewelers.
