Nathan Donald Diaz (born April 16 in 1985) is an American professional mixed martial artist who is currently a free agent. Diaz is most well-known for his participation in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), in which he fought for over 15 years after winning The Ultimate Fighter 5. Prior to his entry into the UFC, Diaz was a fighter in World Extreme Cagefighting and Strikeforce. Diaz has the third most UFC bonus awards, with the total number of 16. The Diaz is the son of Melissa (nee Womble) and Robert Diaz, he was born into Mexican and Anglo heritage and raised in Stockton, California with his brother Nick and sister Nina. Diaz completed his studies at Tokay High School. At the age of 11 he began training in martial arts together with his brother Nick.
