Norm MacDonald

 MacDonald was born Norman Gene MacDonald in Quebec City, Quebec on October 17 1959. MacDonald began his comedy career with stand-up comedy. MacDonald began his stand-up comedy career through writing for The Dennis Miller Show (1992), and Roseanne (1988). Lorne Michaels noticed MacDonald while he was writing for Roseanne (1988). He then gave him his Saturday Night Live (1975) job. MacDonald's famous line, "And now, the fake news" was what was what made him a cult Weekend Update anchor. He was present between September 24, 1994 to December 13, 1997. Don Ohlmeyer, president, NBC West Coast, dismissed him. He officially quit the show in March 1998. The last update for the weekend was broadcast on December 13, 1997. Dirty Work (1998) was the film he began working on during the summer 1997. It was released two months later. In the month of March, 1999, his show, called Norm (1999) was put out on ABC and had a 3-season run. At the time, he was also featured in the film Screwed (2000) alongside Dave Chappelle.
