Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne (byname John Michael Osbourne) was a British musician. He was born on December 3rd, 1948 in Birmingham, England. Ozzy Osbourne is a British singer who gained fame as the vocalist for Black Sabbath before going solo. Osbourne was raised in a family of working-class parents and quit school when he turned fifteen. He also had a number of jobs that were low-paying. He was also involved in small-scale crime, and at the age of 17 was imprisoned for two years for burglary. Following his release, he sang with a number of local rock groups before founding the rock group Earth together with guitarist Tony Iommi. To avoid confusion with a different band of the same name the group changed its name to Black Sabbath, a reference to the name of an old Boris Karloff movie. The band developed a gritty dark sound that was based on the blues but intensely amplified, and drew attention with its tendency to reference the occult in its songs. In February 1970 Black Sabbath released its eponymous debut
