Reese Witherspoon

 Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon was born on the 22nd of March 1976 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Betty Witherspoon, a registered nurse and John Draper Witherspoon, a military surgeon. Reese spent the first 4 years of her life in Wiesbaden, Hesse, Germany in which her father was employed as a lieutenant colonel in the US Army reserves. After that, the family returned to the USA and moved to Nashville, Tennessee.Reese was introduced to the world of entertainment at a very early age. At age 7, she began modeling. She was able to be seen on numerous local television commercials. She was 11 years old when she won the Ten-State Talent Fair. In 1990, her debut acting role was on Robert Mulligan's The Man in the Moon (1991). Her role as a 14-year young tomboy received high praise. Film roles in larger films like Jack the Bear (1993) and A Far Off Place (1993) were soon after.Following the graduation ceremony of her high school in 1994 at Harpeth Hall, a Nashville all girls school, Reese decided to put her acting career on hold and take a course at Stanford University where she would major in English literature. The plans for her college were swiftly thwarted when she was offered roles in two motion picture: Fear (1996) alongside Mark Wahlberg and Freeway (1996) alongside Kiefer Suerland. Both films were not a big box-office hit, however.
