Seth Rogen

 An actor, comedian and writer, Seth Rogen has come far from his days of stand-up comedy when he was an teen.Rogen was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, to Sandy (Belogus), a social worker and Mark Rogen, who worked in non-profit organizations. His father is from America, and his mother is Canadian. He is of Russian Jewish descent. He attended Vancouver Talmud Torah Elementary School and Point Grey Secondary School (although he dropped out from high school to move to Los Angeles) and was famous for his stand-up comedy that he performed at Camp Miriam, a Habonim Dror camp. Rogen was sixteen when he placed second in 1998 Vancouver Amateur Comedy Contest. The following year his appearance, he got the role of Ken Miller in Judd Apatow’s very short-lived, but highly-rated TV series Freaks and Geeks (1999). Although the show lasted only one season, it served as an opportunity to launch numerous careers, including Rogen as well as Apatow, James Franco, Jason Segel, and James Franco. This work helped to sharpen Rogen's sharp improvisational skills, which have been used in numerous projects since.Following Freaks and Geeks (1999), he participated in a few unsuccessful television projects after which he joined the American television version of Da Ali G Show (2000) as a writer during its second and last season, along with his friend from c
