Shailene Woodley

 Actress and activist Shailene Woodley was born in Simi Valley in California, to Lori (Victor), an elementary school counselor, and Lonnie Woodley, a school principal. She has a brother, Tanner. She was educated at Simi Valley High School in California. Woodley began modeling commercially at the age of four. She began acting roles and made her screen debut in Replacing Dad (1999). The District (2000) as well as The O.C. (2003) followed in her subsequent films. (2003) and Crossing Jordan (2001),amongst others. Woodley was 15 when she was first diagnosed with having Idiopathic Scoliosis. She was fitted with an arm brace that ran that ran from her chest to her hips for two years. In 2008, Woodley had her big screen debut in Alexander Payne’s The Descendants (2011) opposite George Clooney. The performance of Alexandra King brought critical acclaim and recognition from the film industry. She was awarded an Independent Spirit Award and the 2012 MTV Movie Awards Breakthrough Performance Award,
