Snoop Dogg

 Snoop Dogg, an American musician, rapper and writer, is a popular actor, media personality and entrepreneur. The first time he was recognized by Dr. Dre in 1992 and was featured on his own album "Deep Cover" as well as on Dre's solo debut album "The Chronic". Death Row Records released Snoop's debut album Doggystyle in 1993. He has sold over 23 million albums across the US and more than 35 million globally. The album reached number one in the Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. This was due to the enthusiasm generated through Snoop's appearance on The Chronic. Selling almost a million copies in the first week following its launch, Doggystyle became certified quadruple platinum in 1994 and spawned several hit singles, including "What's My Name?" Doggystyle was also featured on "Gin & Juice" The album was released in 1994. Snoop released a soundtrack on Death Row Records for the short film Murder Was the Case, which starred him. Tha Doggfather (1996) also was the first single to debut at #1 on both charts, with "Snoop’s Upside Ya Head" as the album's first single. The album was certified double platinum in 1997.
