American actor Terrence Howard is a well-known singer and actor. He is best known for his Oscar-nominated performance as a character in American drama film 'Hustle & Flow. Following his TV debut in 1992 in 'The Jacksons, An American Dream', Howard later played important roles in films like 'Dead Presidents’ and "Mr. Holland's Opus.' His most popular films include 'Crash,' an American drama in which he received numerous awards and award nominations, and 'Hustle & the Flow', a drama, which also won him several awards along with nominations for an Oscar and an Oscar nomination. Having been born to a physically abusive and violent family, Howard had a horrible childhood in which he suffered physical assault from his father. Howard fought through the abuse and made the move to New York to pursue his acting career. After spending a few years performing in small roles Howard finally gained acclaim through his performance in "Dead Presidents..' Howard is also a skilled singer. In 2008, he debuted his debut of studio music, 'Shine Through It. The album included eleven tracks, all written by him and peaked at No. 31 on the US Billboard 200.
