Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, a 2022 American superhero film, is an adaptation of Marvel Comics' character Black Panther. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the follow-up to Black Panther (2018) and the 30th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Directed by Ryan Coogler, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole, the film stars Letitia Wright as Shuri and Black Panther along with Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Martin Freeman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Angela Bassett. The film follows the warriors of Wakanda struggle to defend their nation in the wake of King T'Challa's death.Ideas for a sequel started shortly after the release Black Panther in February 2018. Coogler was able to negotiate a reprise his role as director in the next few months and Marvel Studios officially confirmed the sequel's production in mid-2019. The plans for the film were altered in August of 2020, when Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman died from colon cancer, as well as Marvel opting not to reprise the character of T'Challa. The return of other major actors from the previous film was confirmed in November and the film's title was released in May 2021. Filming began in June 2021 in Atlanta, taking place at both Trilith Studios and Tyler Perry Studios before moving to Massachusetts in August. However, the film was halted in November, allowing Wright to heal from an injury he sustained during filming. The filming resumed in mid-January 2022 and wrapped at the end of March in Puerto Rico.
