Calum Hood

 Calum Thomas Hood (born 25 January 1996) is an Australian musician and musician best famous for his role as the bassist and singer of the band pop rock 5 Seconds of Summer. 5 Seconds of Summer has sold more than 10,000,000 albums and sold more than 2 million tickets to shows worldwide in 2014. The group's streams of songs surpass seven billion. The father of the band was a former Coca-Cola employee and his mother Joy Hood worked in superannuation. [6] Through his father he claims Scottish descent as well as through his mother, he claims Cook Island Maori origins. Hood is the younger brother of the singer-songwriter Mali-Koa. Hood remembers his early years as being "middle-class" and "not the most glamorous lifestyle". Hood attended Norwest Primary School, where he met his future band-mate Michael Clifford. For his high school education, Hood attended Norwest Christian College where he befriended future band-mate Luke Hemmings in Year 7 after they performed an Secondhand Serenade cover at a school talent show
