 Glory Johnson revealed that she was never in a relationship with a woman prior to that and does not consider herself a lesbian. This is despite her short marriage to Brittney Griner. "Despite numerous arguments, including one documented instance of domestic violence between two WNBA stars, Johnson tells the magazine that she got married because she was determined to fight for the love of her life. Johnson, 25, declared that she would determine the details and fight for what she cherishes. Her family members had warned her against marrying the Phoenix Mercury star. It wasn't about any other person. It was about us. Johnson says that Griner, 25, promised Griner a change after their previous arguments. "I kept my promise to her and promised she'd make it worthwhile," Brittney says. "You may call me foolish for believing in her, but I believed in this person. A few weeks after they tied the knot, Johnson learned she was pregnant from a round of IVF the couple had performed. The now mother of twins told the media that at the time she heard the news, she referred to their fight in the press and claimed that each of them had pleaded the way they did because of a reason Griner admitted guilt and signed up for domestic violence classes and Johnson did not plead guilty, creating a backlash from her wife who believed that Johnson was throwing her under the bus.Still, the couple announced their pregnancy in early June. The next day Griner sought an annulment.
