Joseph Morgan

 Joseph Martin, born 16 May 1981 in London is an actor and director from the UK. His character as Niklaus Mikaelson who is the vampire diaries' lead is his most well-known. He is the oldest of his siblings. He was a student at Morriston Comprehensive School and studied at Gorseinon College (now Gower College Swansea) where he completed a BTEC performing Arts course. After that, he moved back to London to complete the Central School of Speech and Drama's acting class. His first audition for an acting role was in Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets for Tom Riddle. Morgan starred in the first series of the Sky One television series Hex in the role of Troy and has appeared in the supporting parts in films like Alexander and Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World and the BBC Two television series The Line of Beauty. He also appeared on the TV show Doc Martin and Casualty and co-starred in Mansfield Park with Billie Piper. In 2010, he played the role of the title character in the mini-series
