Catherine Louise Sagal (born January 19th 1954) is an American actor and singer-songwriter. Her credits include Peggy Bundy in Married... with Children, Leela and Cate on Futurama. In the last character, Sagal worked with John Ritter until his passing, leading to Sagal's taking over as the series lead throughout the run of the show. She is also widely known for her performance as Gemma Teller Morrow on the FX series Sons of Anarchy, for which she was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Television Series Drama in 2011She is currently a series regular on the CBS sitcom Superior DonutsSagal was born in Los Angeles to a show business family with five children, her father, Boris Sagal, was a Ukrainian-Jewish immigrant who worked as a director.
