Catherine Louise Sagal (born January 19th 1954) is an American actor and singer-songwriter. Her roles include Peggy Bundy in Married... with Children, Leela and Cate on Futurama. Sagal was the lead of the series for the remainder of the run of the show and also acted alongside John Ritter in the latter role. She is also famous for her role as Gemma Teller Morrow on the FX show Sons of Anarchy, for which she received the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama in 2011She is currently a regular on the CBS sitcom Superior DonutsSagal was born in Los Angeles to a show business family that had five children. Her father, Boris Sagal, was an immigrant from Ukraine who was director before dying in 1981 in an accident on the set of the miniseries World War III. Sagal's mother Sara Zwilling was a producer and singer, who passed away from heart disease in 1975. After Sara's passing Sagal's father was married to Marge Champion in 1977. Three of Sagal's four siblings are actors, including her twin sisters, Jean and Liz Sagal and brother Joe Sagal; her other brother David Sagal is an attorney and is married to actress McNally Sagal.
