Kyrie Irving

 Kyrie Andrew Irving (/'kaIri/; Lakota: Hela, lit. American professional basketball player 'Little Mountain' (born March 23 in 1992), is the head of the Brooklyn Nets of National Basketball Association (NBA). The team was awarded the title of Rookie of the Year in the year after being picked by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall selection during the 2011 NBA draft. A seven-time All-Star and three-time participant on the All-NBA Team, he won an NBA championship with the Cavaliers in 2016.Irving played in the NCAA basketball tournament for the Duke Blue Devils before joining the Cavaliers in 2011. He won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award at the 2014 All-Star Game. In the 2016 NBA Finals, Irving made the game-winning three-point field goal in the final stages of the Cavaliers' historic comeback over the Golden State Warriors. Irving was traded to the Boston Celtics after he made another Finals appearance in the 2017 Finals. He was a Celtic for two years then he was signed by the Brooklyn Nets as a free agent in the year 2019. He also played for the United States National Team, winning gold at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup as well as the 2016 Summer Olympics. He was elected vice president of the National Basketball Players Association in February of 2020, succeeding Pau Gasol.
