Helen Flanagan

Helen Flanagan, born 7 August 1990 is an English actor from England. She is best known for portraying the role of Rosie Webster in the ITV soap show Coronation Street from 2000 to 2012. She returned to her role in 2017 before going on leave for maternity on the 8th of June 2018.Flanagan was born in Bury, Greater Manchester, England. She was born in Blackburn, Lancashire and attended Westholme School. Rosie Webster first made an appearance in Coronation Street in January 2000. In 2006 she was nominated for the prize of "Best Dramatic Performance from a young actor or actress" at the British Soap Awards, losing to Ellis Hollins of Hollyoaks. In 2007 she was nominated for "Villain of the Year" at the same awards, this being a loss to Coronation Street co-star Jack P. Shepherd.In 2010, Flanagan appeared in Coronation Street spin-off Coronation Street: A Knights Tale as her character Rosie Webster. Just Rosie was her Coronation Street spinoff. It included her character Rosie Webster, who is trying to establish herself as model in London. Flanagan resigned from Coronation Street in February 2012 to pursue different interests.In November 2012, Flanagan participated in the 12th season of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!,in seventh place. In September 2013 she appeared in Celebrity Super Spa, a reality-television show that was filmed on a Liverpool Salon on Channel 5. Flanagan was featured alongside Hugo Taylor in an episode of Celebrity Wedding Planner, January 2014. In August of the same year, she appeared as agency nurse Kirsty Brompton on an episode of Holby City. In October of 2016 it was announced that Flanagan would reprise her role as Rosie in Coronation Street in February 2017 Her maternity leave ended in June 2018.
