Hilarie Ros Burton (born July 1, 1982) is an American businesswoman, actress, author and producer. A former host of MTV's Total Request Live, she was the character Peyton Sawyer on The WB/CW drama One Tree Hill for six seasons (2003-2009). After One Tree Hill, Burton played a role in Our Very Own, Solstice as well as The List. Burton was born in Sterling, Virginia and raised in the area. Her father is an US Army veteran and her mother is an agent in real estate. She is the eldest of four siblings. Park View High School graduated her in the year 2000. She was the student council treasurer in her second year, vice-president her third year, and captain of cheerleading, student council president, homecoming queen her senior years. [citation needed]
