Marcia Cross

 Marcia Anne Cross was born on the 25th of March 1962. She appeared in daytime soap operas such as The Edge of Night, Another World, and One Life to Live before moving to primetime television with a recurring role on Knots Landing. From 1992 until 1997, she was the lead actress on Kimberly Shaw on Melrose Place. Cross played the housewife Bree Van de Kamp on the ABC TV series Desperate Housewives (2004-12), for which she was nominated for three Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress in musical or Comedy, and a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in an Comedy Series. Cross was a regular role as the President Claire Haas in the ABC series Quantico. She is English-Irish and was born in Marlborough. She is one of three daughters of Janet who was a teacher as well as Mark J Cross (1923-2021), a personnel manager. Cross was born Catholic.She graduated from Marlborough High School in 1980 and was awarded a half-scholarship by Juilliard.She finished the college degree in 1984 and earned an B.F.A. in Acting.Cross returned to college in 1997 receiving an advanced degree in psychology at Antioch University Los Angeles in 2003.
