Cassandra Lynn Scerbo (born March 30, 1990)[citation needed] is an American singer, actress and dancer. She was a part of the all-girl band Slumber Party Girls, which was featured on the CBS children's variety program Dance Revolution. She also acted as Brooke in the movie Bring It On: In It to Win It (2007) and as Lauren Tanner in the ABC Family comedy-drama series Make It or Break It (2009-2012) and in the role of Nova Clarke in the Sharknado film series alongside Ian Ziering and Tara Reid (2013-2018).Scerbo was born on Long Island, New York. She is of full Italian ancestry.Scerbo was raised in Parkland, Florida and played soccer for the Parkland Soccer Club. She was a resident of Florida from the time she was in kindergarten until she was placed in Make It or Break It. She was a student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. In 2006, Scerbo successfully auditioned for the music girl group Slumber Party Girls. Scerbo was chosen from more than 1000 applicants to be one of five members. In September of 2006 the group was the host of the children's variety show Dance Revolution which promoted nutrition and fitness to children. The show featured a variety of original music by Slumber Party Girls. The debut album Dance Revolution was released but was not chart-topping. The show was not renewed for a second season. The group broke up mid-2007 as they began work on their second album. In the same year, Scerbo signed a solo-recording contract with Geffen Records. Three of her original songs "Betcha Don't Know", "Sugar and Spice" and "Top Of The World" were all released in 2008 on iTunes in 2008.In 1981, despite remaining in the band Fleetwood Mac, Nicks began her own career as a solo artist, releasing her studio album Bella Donna, which topped the Billboard 200 and has reached multiplatinum status.She has released eight solo studio albums as well as seven studio albums in the band Fleetwood Mac, selling a certified total of 65 million copies in the US alone.After the release of her first solo album, Rolling Stone named her the "Reigning Queen of Rock and Roll".Nicks was named one of the 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time and one of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time[6 by Rolling Stone.
