 The station is located In Los Angeles, Matt Gutman is an LA-based ABC News Chief National Correspondent. He covers all ABC News broadcasts and platforms, including "World News Tonight with David Muir," "20/20," "Good Morning America" and "Nightline." He has covered for ABC from more than 40 countries around the globe.Gutman, a multiple award-winning reporter, has reported on the COVID-19 crisis, the protests that took place in American streets after the death of George Floyd, the immigration crisis, and countless international and domestic terrorist attacks.Over the past two decades, Gutman has been one of the most frequently used correspondents for the show "20/20." Gutman's tireless reporting has helped "20/20" receive an Emmy(r) for its documentary about the deadly 2017 Las Vegas massacre and a Christopher Award for its reporting on the Thai cave rescue. Gutman was on hand at every step of that treacherous mission to save the kids as well as their soccer coach from a flood-prone cave in Thailand. He later wrote "The Boys in the Cave" that chronicled the heroisms of a ragtag group of cave diving misfits the US Airforce, and Thai Navy Seals, who led the rescue.
