Matt Gutman

 Matt Gutman is ABC News' Chief National Correspondent based in Los Angeles. He covers all ABC News broadcasts and platforms which include "World News Tonight with David Muir," "20/20," "Good Morning America" and "Nightline." Gutman has reported from more than 40 countries for ABC News and ABC News's channels, including "World News Tonight with David Murir," "20/20," Good Morning America, and "Nightline." Gutman's relentless reporting has helped "20/20" get an Emmy(r) for its documentary about the deadly 2017 Las Vegas massacre and a Christopher Award for its reporting on the Thai cave rescue. Gutman was in Thailand to report the dangerous rescue of 12 Thai boys as well as their soccer coach from a cave in Thailand. He subsequently authored "The Cave Boys," that chronicled the heroisms of a ragtag group of cave diving misfits, the US Airforce, and Thai Navy Seals who spearheaded the rescue.
