Adrienne Barbeau

 Adrienne Jo Barbeau is an American writer and actress is most well-known for her work on the sitcom Maude (1972) as well as horror films specifically those produced by John Carpenter (with whom she was once married). Born June 11, 1945 in Sacramento (California) in California, she is the daughter of a Mobil Oil Company executive. In the beginning of her career, she starred in the films Someone's Watching Me! (1978), The Fog (1980) and Escape from New York (1981) All of which were John Carpenter-related productions. She has worked with George A. Romero on occasions, including Stephen King's anthology Creepshow (1982) and Two Evil Eyes (1990). Her work alongside other directors of horror includes Wes Craven's superhero monster movie Swamp Thing (1982). In the 90s, she became best known for providing the voice of Catwoman on Batman: The Animated Series (1992). In the Broadway production of "Grease" she played Betty Rizzo, the tough-girl Betty Rizzo. She is the author of the memoir "There Are Worse Things I Can Do" (2006) as well as the comedy romance vampire novel "Vampyres of Hollywood" (2008), "Love Bites" (2010) and "Make Me Dead" (2015).
