Jessica Alba

Jessica Marie Alba was born on April 28, 1981 in Pomona, CA, to Catherine (Jensen) and Mark David Alba, who served as a pilot in the US Air Force. Her father is Mexican origin (including Spanish and Indigenous Mexican roots), and her mother has Danish, Welsh, English, and French heritage. Her family moved to Biloxi, MS, when she was a baby. After her father's career they moved back to California three years after. They then moved to Del Rio, Texas, which they stayed in for another three years. In love with the idea of becoming an actress from at the age of five, she was 12 before she attended her first acting class. Nine months later, she was signed to an agent. Jessica studied at the Atlantic Theatre Company, where she was taught by William H. Macy (founder) and David Mamet (founder). Since her first steps in acting, Jessica has performed a wide variety of roles. She made her debut in a feature film in 1993 on Hollywood Pictures' comedy Camp Nowhere (1994). Initially, she was hired for just two weeks, she received her breakthrough when an actress in the main part suddenly walked out.
