Beyoncé

Beyonce was nine years old when she old, started Destiny's Child in 1990 with her childhood pals. The group was cut from Star Search's 1992 talent show. Three years later, the group was dismissed by a contract with a record company. The success of Destiny's Child were reversed in 1997 when they signed the Columbia recording deal and released their debut album "No, No, No Part 2". The group's next album, The Writing's on the Wall (1999) was a huge success, winning them two Grammy Awards and was sold more than 8 million copies in the United States. Survivor (2001), the third album of the group, reached the highest-rated album on the Billboard 200 charts. Beyonce was the head of the group, and she composed hits for Destiny's Child such as "No, No, Part 2" and "Bootylicious." The group eventually split to pursue their individual projects. Beyonce's songwriting abilities were employed to produce her first solo album Dangerously In Love (2003). The album was met with rave reviews and, thanks to the hit track "Crazy in Love" featuring Jay-Z was atop of the charts all over the world. In 2004 Beyonce won five Grammy Awards, including best contemporary R&B album as well as the best female R&B vocal performance.
