Britney Jean Spears was born on the 2nd of December 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. As a young girl, Britney attended dance classes and excelled in gymnastics, winning numerous contests and other similar. Britney loves to sing and dance, but more important, she was a fan of dance classes. At the age of 8, Britney tried out for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989), but was rejected due to her young age. This led her to an off-Broadway production, "Ruthless", for a 2-year run as the title character. When she was 11, she again tried to be a part of The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) and was this time able to make it as a mouseketeer alongside numerous stars of the present (Justin Timberlake as well as JC Chasez from *NSYNC as well as Ryan Gosling). The biggest break for her, however, came when she was signed as a Jive Recording Artist in the latter part of the 90s. Britney's first album"Baby one more time" "...Baby another time" was released in 1999. Britney went on to become an international superstar with 13,000,000 copies sold of "Baby" as well as 9,000,000 copies (as as of July 1, 2001) for her follow-up album "Oops !...I Do It Again". Britney also has an older brother Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney as a child-star wanted to become an international star, just like Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston. Britney sang no matter what was going on around her. Britney was a contestant on The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) television series (from 1989 to 1994).
