Trevor George Smith Jr. (born on 20th May 1972) who is better known under his stage name Busta Rhymes, is an American rapper, singer, musician, record producer, record executive and actor. Chuck D, a member of Public Enemy, gave him the name Busta Rhymes after George "Buster", a wide receiver in the NFL and CFL. His outrageous style, fashion sense and his rapping style are what made him popular. He raps at a high velocity and utilizes internal rhyme and half rhyme. He has earned 11 Grammy Award nominations for his work.About.com has him on its list of the Top 50 MCs of Our Time (1987-2007), as Steve Huey of AllMusic called his a one of the greatest and most prolific rappers of the 1990s. In 2012, The Source placed him on their list of the top 50 lyrics of All Time. MTV declared him "one of hip hop's greatest visual artists".Busta Rhymes was a founding part of Leaders of the New School. Then, he started Conglomerate (originally Flipmode Entertainment) along with the production crew The Conglomerate. Busta Rhymes signed an agreement with Cash Money Records in November 2011. Busta Rhymes, who was on Republic at the time, announced that he was leaving Cash Money Records because of creative differences.
