Zoe Saldana

 Zoe Saldana was born June 19th, 1978 in Passaic (New Jersey) to Asalia Nazario, and Aridio Saldana. Her father was Dominican and her mother Puerto Rican. She was born in Queens, New York. At the age of 10, old her family and she relocated to the Dominican Republic, where they lived for seven years. Zoe developed a passion for dancing while in the Dominican Republic. She began training at the highly regarded ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy where she was taught dance, including ballet, and other forms of dance. In addition to being able to give her a chance to express the enthusiastic and energetic youngster, it would also prove to be a wonderful prelude to the beginning of her acting career. At age 17, Zoe and her family relocated to the United States where her love for dancing grew and her interest in theater performance became stronger.
